Is your Advisory looking for an exciting morning activity? Hall hockey is played with two goals (benches) on either end. It is played 3v3 with goalies and line changes every few minutes. Whoever has scored the most goals when the time is up is the winner. This year it was down to three teams one from each homeroom. Team Nee and team Baker went to semifinals and team Shepley got the bye to the finals. In the semis, team Baker dominated from the beginning with a strong 5-1 win over team Nee. In the final game, both team Baker and Shepley were looking strong. The game was tied with about a minute left. Team Baker scored in the final 20 sec to take the lead. Team Shepley only had a few seconds to tie it up. They did, they scored the final goal to tie! The two teams will rematch in the next week to determine the winner!
This all started 5 years ago by a former teacher, Mrs. Kenyon, on the Phoenix team. They usually have a tournament once a year with team Nee usually taking the win. This activity is a fun, competitive way for teams to cheer each other on and work out some energy in the morning!
Update! In the rematch this week, Mrs. Baker's homeroom took home the title of champions with a 3-2 win over Mrs. Shepley's homeroom!
